Emil at RemotiveLabs
Software-defined vehicle programs depend on many companies agreeing on shared building blocks. Emil works with car makers, suppliers and industry alliances to show how RemotiveLabs tooling lets them develop and test vehicle software together, long before hardware is ready.
He is active in the open-standards community. At the European SDV Ecosystem Summit 2025 in Munich he co-presented collaboration and contributions from COVESA with Jan Kubovy of BMW.
Background and related experience
Before RemotiveLabs, Emil was VP Automotive at Mapillary, the street-level imagery and map data company. At QNX Software Systems he was automotive business development manager for Europe, and at The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) he built the automotive HMI business from the ground up. He started as a consultant at AU-System, working on GSM base station development and later sales to mobile phone makers.
Emil holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University (LTH). He has spoken at industry events such as Automotive World Megatrends Europe.
