Johan Rask works on RemotiveTopology at RemotiveLabs, including the path from installation to a running virtual vehicle. He has more than 25 years of experience in software development and architecture, with roles at Ericsson, Jayway, Sony Mobile, Volvo Cars, Handelsbanken and IKEA.

Getting started with vehicle software often means waiting for hardware and spending days on setup. Johan works on making RemotiveTopology quick to install and run, so a developer can go from git clone to a running virtual vehicle in minutes.
His experience with cloud platforms, data pipelines and in-car analytics feeds into how RemotiveTopology runs on laptops, in CI and in the cloud. Johan is part of the team that built the RemotiveTopology integration with Google Cloud's Horizon platform for testing full virtual vehicles on Google Cloud.
Background and related experience
Before RemotiveLabs, Johan was a full-stack developer on real-time streaming at Ingka (IKEA) and a hands-on architect for a big data platform at Handelsbanken. He was an expert architect for in-car analytics at Volvo Cars, and a cloud engineer, tech lead and senior engineer at Sony Mobile. Earlier he spent seven years at Jayway as senior consultant and team leader, after starting his career as a Java developer at Ericsson.
Johan studied computer science at Blekinge Institute of Technology. He holds AWS Developer and Solutions Architect certifications and shares code on GitHub.
