What is RemotiveCloud?

RemotiveCloud is a virtual collaboration environment designed for the automotive industry to share, stream, and work with real vehicle signal data. It acts as a central hub for vehicle data, a single point of truth enabling users to either explore the data in the tool or easily bring their data to their tool of choice. The product facilitates collaboration between developers, designers, prototypers, and testers.

Is there a way for me to try RemotiveCloud for free?

Yes! We offer a free RemotiveCloud account where you get access to a few sample recordings with vehicle signal data. You can get a first sense of the product by creating your free account here - no credit card required, no hidden fees, and it stays free.

What are the key features of RemotiveCloud?

- Data upload:
Upload vehicle recording data automatically from vehicle or using the web UI or CLI. RemotiveCloud supports various recording formats such as .mdf, .blf, .asc, and candump .log.

- Visualize:
The Visualize view allows you to share specific scenarios and explore the full dataset. Get a comprehensive overview of a drive cycle by exploring signal data using different panels, e.g. signal time series panel, trace window panels or a map panel. Users can also share their selected panels and their view with other users.

- Playback:
Replay, consume, and stream vehicle data. Transform signals using LUA scripting, and easily integrate with other tools.

- Collaboration:
Annotate recordings, add comments, and discuss specific issues directly within the platform or share recordings and curated signal sets with internal and external collaborators.

- Signal transformation:
Transform, rename, map, merge or synthesize signals, and convert to standard formats like COVESA VSS and AAOS properties. Use LUA scripting to transform signals emitted at custom frequencies.

- Data analysis:
Analyse signals, search for specific signals by name, ID or unit. Export in CSV or Parquet to bring into your data analytics tool of choice.

- Interoperability:
RemotiveCloud is designed to enable smooth transition and interoperability from vehicle/device to RemotiveCloud and from RemotiveCloud to other third party tools.

What problems does RemotiveCloud solve?

- Lack of real-world vehicle data:
Provides access to real vehicle drive cycles for testing and validation.

- Hardware dependencies:
Allows for virtualized testing and prototyping, reducing the need for physical hardware

- Manual data handling:
Automates the upload of vehicle data, eliminating the need to manually remove and transfer hard drives.

- Siloed workflows:
Provides a collaborative environment, eliminating the need for ad-hoc sharing and isolated analysis setups.

- Communication barriers:
Enables real-time discussion of specific issues with annotations and comments directly on the data.

Who are the main users of RemotiveCloud?
